The program provided is the Swedish Culture and Everyday life course, which is a 7.5 credit course.

About the Course

This course provides an introduction to Swedish society, culture, and daily life. It explores different themes and questions connecting contemporary culture with societal changes over the past century. Themes covered include gender, perceptions of Swedishness, the rural north, and sustainability. Through a variety of learning activities, material, and assignments, representations of Swedishness and Swedish culture and identity are highlighted and problematized.

Course Structure

• The course is either taught on campus for international students or as an online course open for all applicants.

• The teaching hours are daytime for on-site studies and mixed for online studies.

Admission Criteria

• The selection is based on results from the National university aptitude test, academic credits, and grade point average.
• The application deadline was 15 April 2025 for the Autumn 2025 semester and 15 October 2025 for the Spring 2026 semester.

Course Schedule
