Faculty of Management and Social Communication

The programme description for Accounting and Finance Management is as follows: Together with the development of globalisation and the constantly competitive economic environment, the operating conditions of enterprises have changed significantly, as well as logistics and marketing. They mainly concern a significant increase in the role of transnational corporations that use complex settlements and new financial instruments. This necessitates the continuous improvement of knowledge and skills in accounting, financial reporting and broadly understood finance. In this context, the role of core financial market institutions is also changing, especially those related to the supervision of business safety. Studies in Accounting and Finance Management educate specialists with advanced theoretical and practical knowledge in economics and finance, accounting and financial management, reporting, financial audit, financial analysis, tax optimisation elements, and mathematics and legal sciences.

Programme Description

The programme is designed to provide students with advanced knowledge and skills in accounting, finance, and management. The curriculum includes subjects such as financial reporting, financial analysis, tax optimisation, and mathematics and legal sciences.

The Faculty of Management and Social Communication has the category A granted by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and outstanding rating awarded by the Polish Accreditation Committee (PKA). The variety of study programmes conducted by the Faculty makes this unit one of the best interdisciplinary faculties of the Jagiellonian University.
