Program Overview


Introduction to the Finance and Controlling Program

The Finance and Controlling program is a unique study program offered by the Jagiellonian University, which includes classes on broadly understood finance, the latest management concepts, and elements of economics and law. This program responds to the challenges of modern enterprises, industries, markets, and economies.


Program Description

The program is designed to equip graduates with a set of competencies that will allow them to implement career paths in the area of comprehensive management of the organisation's value, designing profitable and effective business models, implementing control systems, managing costs or using financial market tools, and at the same time work in specialized positions in the management system, middle and senior management positions, as well as to work as an advisor and to conduct their own business.

Faculty of Management and Social Communication

The Faculty of Management and Social Communication has the category A granted by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and an outstanding rating awarded by the Polish Accreditation Committee (PKA). The variety of study programs conducted by the Faculty makes this unit one of the best interdisciplinary faculties of the Jagiellonian University.


Institute of Economics, Finance and Management

The study program is offered by the Institute of Economics, Finance and Management, which is a part of the Faculty of Management and Social Communication. Students have access to the modern library of the Faculty, the book collection of which is constantly supplied with the newest books (in Polish and English).


Curriculum Overview

The program curriculum includes information about the subjects that students will attend while studying this program. The program indicates which subjects are scheduled for each semester of the studies, which are mandatory, which belong to the group of elective subjects (so-called optional subjects), which of them end with an exam, and which do not.
