Program Overview

Computer Science MSc Program – Digital Factory

The goal of this program is to train Computer Scientists with a professional knowledge based on a solid theoretical background knowledge. The Computer Scientist often acts as a mediator between the customers of information systems and the producers. In this way, the job of a Computer Scientist synthesizes the constructive activity of engineers with the general problem-solving attitude of mathematicians while participating in teams of large-scale projects.

Program Description

Our programs provide students with a broad education in Computer Science in combination with specialized work in manufacturing and predictive use of data arising from the Industrial Assets, and the Computer Science tools to develop Decision Making and Artificial Intelligence for Industry. Students learn the theory as well as the methodologies and techniques in the development and implementation of computer systems. The more practical programming courses are aided by several courses in pure and applied mathematics and theoretical computer science courses throughout the curriculum.

Program Structure

  • The program is designed for students who want to gain expertise in one of the most fascinating and fastest growing areas of manufacturing and computer science.
  • The program is oriented to develop the basic knowledge on technologies like Product Lifecycle Management systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems, in order to produce valid Product and Production Digital Twin viable to improve productivity and efficiency in real applications.
  • Plant Simulation Technologies will support optimization of the assets and also will allow gathering data to produce other advanced uses and applications.

Career Opportunities

Graduated students are welcomed in jobs of different industries (manufacturing, communications, automotive) and in many sectors of informatics, finance, healthcare, transport and logistics, customer service and countless others.
