EIT Digital Master School Program – Financial Technology

The EIT Digital Master School Program in Financial Technology is designed to provide graduates with a holistic skill set, a cross-functional perspective, and an entrepreneurial mindset that will enable them to lead organizations in the new paradigm of digital technology and finance. This program is recommended to applicants who already have a BSc degree in Computer Science and would like to expand their opportunities in the field of financial technology.

Description

Digital technology and finance have been inextricably linked for decades, but we are entering a new era. Technologies like machine learning, data analytics, biometrics, or blockchain are creating new possibilities to address credit and risk management, identity management, information security, secure payments, or portfolio management. The program aims to equip graduates with the skills to develop and bring these new technology applications to market.


Strength of Program

The EIT Digital Master School is a flagship education on an advanced level provided by leading European universities and IT companies. It offers a two-year education in which students can choose two universities in two different European countries with a double degree at the end. The program combines strong technical background with Innovation and Entrepreneurship education, which accounts for 25% of the program. This means that students gain knowledge about how industry works and how research results can be turned into service or product, even before they graduate. The program also includes a 4-month internship to be done at one of the EIT Digital partner companies, where students can experience world-changing innovations firsthand.


Admission Requirements

  • Entry requirements: A completed Bachelor's degree encompassing a minimum of 180 ECTS credits or equivalent academic qualifications from an internationally recognized university.
  • Conditional acceptance: Students in their final year of undergraduate education may also apply and, if qualified, receive a conditional acceptance.
  • Language requirements: Minimum level of language proficiency (oral) (A1-C2): B2, Minimum level of language proficiency (written) (A1-C2): B2.

Application Procedure

  • Application periods:
    • Period 1: 31 October – 11 February
    • Period 2: 11 February – 15 April
    • Period 3: 15 April – 1 June
  • The application is to be done online.
  • Students need to register in the system, fill in the online application form, upload the required documents, and follow the instructions during the application process.
  • The applicants are evaluated and ranked based on the submitted application documentation.

Tuition Fees

  • EU/EEA students: 2500 EUR per semester (winning scholarships and half tuition fee waiver is possible)
  • Non-EU/EEA students: 7500 EUR per semester (winning scholarships and half tuition fee waiver is possible)
  • Application fee: 75 EUR
  • Registration fee: 250 EUR
  • Other costs: Scholarship deposit (refundable): 500 EUR
