The Instruction of English as a Foreign Language MA program is designed to provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to become professionals in the field of teaching English as a foreign language. This full-time master's degree program includes three main components: taught modules, supervised hands-on teaching practice, and a research-based dissertation or project-based work.

Program Structure

• The program consists of 60 ECTS credits, with 55 credits allocated to taught courses and teaching practice, and 5 credits allocated to the dissertation.
• The program is divided into two semesters, with a duration of 2 semesters (1 year).
• The minimum number of students required for the program is 6, and the maximum number of students is 15.

• Explore relevant subjects in depth, reaching a high level of specialist knowledge and skill.
• Develop and expand their understanding of the theoretical underpinnings of current principles and practices of English language teaching.
• Use appropriate language for setting up and managing classroom activities, interacting with students, and displaying proficient presentation skills.
• Develop their learners' language skills effectively, using authentic materials and ICT tools, responding to individual learner differences, and adopting methods of differentiation.
• Benefit from access to seminars across the wider university in optional courses.

Admission Requirements

• Applicants must hold a university bachelor's degree (or an equivalent college degree) in the fields of Liberal Arts and Educational Sciences.
• Language requirements: C1 level English (CEFR), with preferred minimum results in IELTS, TOEFL IBT, or Duolingo.
• Documents to submit with the application include:

  • Secondary school certificate (graduation certificate).
  • Bachelor-level degree.
  • Transcript of records.
  • CV.
  • Motivation letter.
  • Copy of the main pages of the passport.
  • Copy of application fee payment receipt.
  • Copy of Entrance exam fee payment receipt.
  • Language certificate.

Application Procedure

• The application procedure includes three periods, with deadlines for submission of the full and complete application package.
• The application starts in the online application system, where students need to register, fill in the online application form, upload required documents, and follow the instructions during the application process.
• Applications will only be processed if the application fee (non-refundable) has been paid on the University's online payment platform.

Tuition Fees

• EU/EEA students: 3500 EUR per semester.
• Non-EU/EEA students: 3500 EUR per semester.
• Application fee: EUR 100 (non-refundable) for Early Bird applicants, and EUR 150 (non-refundable) for regular applicants.
• Other costs: 100 EUR (Entrance exam fee).
