International Business Economics BA Program
The International Business Economics BA program at Eötvös Loránd University is designed to provide students with a general training in business economics and a special international orientation. The program aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to analyze and address the financial and operational challenges of enterprises in international business environments.
Program Description
The program is offered by the Faculty of Economics, which is the youngest and most dynamic faculty of ELTE. The faculty is proud of its modern approach to business education, promoting responsible leadership and sustainable business practices in close collaboration between students and teaching and research staff. The program is taught in English and is open to international students.
Program Structure
The program consists of 8 semesters (4 years) and requires the completion of 240 ECTS credits. The program includes a combination of compulsory and elective courses, as well as a compulsory internship and a thesis.

Admission Requirements
To be eligible for the program, applicants must have completed their secondary school studies and provide proof of this by presenting a secondary or high school diploma (or equivalent). Applicants must also demonstrate a good command of English, either by providing a language certificate (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL) or by showing that they have studied at an English-medium secondary/high school for a minimum of two years.
Tuition Fees
The tuition fee for the program is 2700 EUR per semester for EU/EEA students and 3600 EUR per semester for non-EU/EEA students. The application fee is 155 EUR, which covers the costs related to the administration of applications.
Application Procedure

The admission committee examines the applications and invites suitable applicants to an entrance examination, which consists of a combination of oral, written, and video tasks.

Language Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate a good command of English, either by providing a language certificate (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL) or by showing that they have studied at an English-medium secondary/high school for a minimum of two years. The minimum language requirements are:

- TOEFL (PBT): 500 points
- TOEFL (CBT): 173 points
- Cambridge English: Cambridge First Certificate (FCE): 170
Entrance Examination and Selection Process
The entrance examination consists of a combination of oral, written, and video tasks. The selection process is based on the overall evaluation of the applicant's previous academic excellence and the results of the combined entrance exam. The submission of mathematics exams (e.g., SAT Mathematics Subject Test Level II, ACT Test) is not required but is encouraged and taken into consideration in the admission process.
