Program Overview
International Relations BA Program
The International Relations BA program at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of international politics, security studies, EU politics, ethnic conflict, global justice, and human rights. The program enables students to analyze complex political and social dynamics that transcend state borders and cultural boundaries.
Program Structure

Admission Requirements
To be eligible for the program, applicants must submit:
- Secondary school certificate
- Records of final two years in secondary school
- Motivation letter in English
- Copy of the main pages of the passport (must be valid)
- Language certificate (if applicable)
Language Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate a certification of English knowledge (both written and oral) at the B2 level, with the following minimum scores:
- IELTS: 5.5
- TOEFL IBT: 46-59
- Cambridge English Scale: 162
Tuition Fees
The tuition fees for the program are as follows:
- EU/EEA students: 1200 EUR per semester
- Non-EU/EEA students: 2700 EUR per semester
Application Procedure
The application process starts with an online application, where students must register, fill in the application form, and upload the required documents. The application deadlines are:
- Super Early Bird Period: October 1 - November 15
- Early Bird Period: November 20 - January 15
- Regular Period: January 20 - April 30
- Last Call Period: May 5 - May 31
Entrance Examination
The entrance examination is an oral exam that assesses the applicant's general and professional knowledge and interest. A successful oral entrance exam is a prerequisite for admission.
