Program Description

This MA program gives students high-level competence in the Russian language and prepares them to become specialists in Russian philology. Students can gain specialized knowledge in a chosen subfield of Russian philology through their degree thesis and specialized courses. The program is recommended for applicants who wish to engage in broad-spectrum training in disciplinary studies and acquire special competences in a linguistics- and culturology-based approach to culture.

Admission Requirements

• Entry requirements: Applicants must hold a university bachelor's degree (or an equivalent college degree) in the fields listed below, with full credit acknowledgement given for a bachelor's degree in Slavonic Studies, Specialized in Russian Studies.
• Language requirements: Medium level language competence in Russian (B2 level CEFR) and a minimum of A2 level of English.

Application Procedure

• Application deadlines: The deadline for application means the deadline of submission of the full and complete application package in the online system.
• Procedure of the application: The application starts in the online application system, where students need to register, fill in the online application form, upload the required documents, and follow the instructions during the application process.
• Entrance examination and selection process: When the university receives the full application package, an entrance exam date option will be sent, and the applications are examined by the Admission Board.

Tuition Fees

• EU/EEA students: 2,500 EUR per semester
• Non-EU/EEA students: 2,500 EUR per semester
• Application fee: The application fee is discounted for Early Bird applicants: EUR 100 (non-refundable) between 01/10/2025 - 30/11/2025 and between 01/02/2026 - 31/03/2026; The regular application fee is: EUR 150 (non-refundable) between 01/04/2026 - 31/05/2026
