Course Delivery
Teaching is led by world-class academics, combining lectures, delivered on-campus and online live from the UK, alongside laboratory and computer-based practicals. Students will engage in small groups and reinforce their learning with tutorials, problem-based and feedback sessions.

Foundation Year
The following modules must be taken at the Dubai campus:
- Stats and Data (10 credits, Semester 1)
- Advanced Study Skills in Biological Sciences (20 credits, Semester 1)
- Human Biology (20 credits, Semester 2)
- Introduction to Organic Chemistry (10 credits, Semester 2)
- Introduction to Global Environmental Issues (20 credits, Full Term) Students must take one of the following modules:
- Academic English and Study Skills (40 credits, Full Term)
- Advanced Academic English and Study Skills (40 credits, Full Term)
- Advanced Academic Skills (STEM) (40 credits, Full Term)

Entry Requirements
To secure a place at the University of Birmingham Dubai, students must meet both the general entry requirements and the specific criteria for their chosen course. The Foundation Pathways are suitable for students who have completed their high school education to a high standard and would normally require a foundation year before being eligible for first-year undergraduate entry to UK universities.
English Language Requirements
In order to undertake a program of study at the University, students will need to demonstrate that they have a good level of written and spoken English. Students can demonstrate their level of English with IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or alternative qualifications.
Fees and Scholarships
The University tuition fee covers the cost of tuition, examination, and graduation. The fee for the Foundation Year is AED 156,718 per year (full-time) for September 2026 entry. Subsequent year's annual tuition fee for the program will be AED 144,064/year for September 2025/January 2026 entry.
Paying Tuition Fees
Tuition fees can be paid in full or in three instalments per year of study.
