Course Structure

Year 1
In Year 1, students build knowledge and confidence in the fundamentals of teaching and coaching and sports science. They delve into topics such as sport business management, sport psychology, and movement and learning.

Entry Requirements
To secure a place at Birmingham, students need to meet the general entry requirements as well as those specific to the course. This includes:
- A Level: AAB-ABB dependent on the number of preferred subjects included
- IB: 6,6,5 - 6,5,5 in Higher level subjects plus 32 points overall
- BTEC: BTEC Extended Diploma in science-related subject will be considered
- GCSE: Mathematics, English, and a science at a minimum of grade 4/C
- English language requirements: IELTS, TOEFL, Pearson Test of English, or Cambridge English
Fees and Scholarships
The University tuition fee covers the cost of tuition, examination, and graduation. Fees for domestic (UK) students for 2026/27 are £9,535 per year. Scholarships, grants, and bursaries are available to support students.
