The University of Birmingham Dubai offers a four-year BSc Computer Engineering with Integrated Foundation Year program. This program is designed to develop students' hardware and software skills, which are in global demand. Course Structure

Successful completion of the foundation year guarantees progression to the Computer Engineering BSc program.

Foundation Year

• Data handling and skills (Dubai) - 10 credits
• Mathematics I - 20 credits
• Mathematics II - 20 credits Optional modules include:
  • Academic English and Study Skills (STEM Dubai) - 30 credits
  • Advanced Academic English and Study Skills (STEM Dubai) - 30 credits
  • Advanced Academic Skills (STEM Dubai) - 30 credits Students must complete the 20-credit Physical Sciences module to progress to Engineering.

Entry Requirements

Fees and Scholarships

The University tuition fee covers the cost of tuition, examination, and graduation. Fees for the program are:

• AED 124,343 per year (full-time, January 2026)
• AED 134,922 per year (full-time, September 2026/January 2027) The above fee applies to the Foundation Year only. Subsequent year's annual tuition fee for the program will be AED 149,106/year for September 2026/January 2027 entry.

Paying Tuition Fees

Tuition fees can be paid in full or in three installments per year of study.
