Program Overview
The Construction Management (Dubai) MSc program is designed to boost career potential in the engineering and built environment industries. With advanced training in technical and management key skills, this course prepares students to move into more senior or specialist roles.
Course Structure
The MSc is a 12-month full-time advanced course, comprising lectures, seminars, class discussions, and group presentations. The course can also be taken part-time over two years.
Semester 1
In the first semester, students build a solid foundation in business management, covering key topics like strategy, innovation, marketing, organisational behaviour, and financial management. Teaching is delivered by leading academics from Birmingham Business School, ensuring a high-quality, research-led learning experience.
Semester 2
The second semester focuses on construction management, with modules covering project planning and management, finance, operations, and sustainability.
Research Project
The research project is a key component of the program, allowing students to deepen their knowledge of a specialist area and develop advanced research skills.

Entry Requirements
To secure a place at the University of Birmingham Dubai, students must meet both the general entry requirements and the specific criteria for their chosen course.
- 2:2 Honours degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Maths, or Technology-based subjects from a recognised institution.
- A 2:2 Honours degree in the above disciplines alongside relevant work experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
English Language Requirements
Students must demonstrate a good level of written and spoken English. This can be demonstrated through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or alternative qualifications.
Fees and Scholarships
The University tuition fee covers the cost of tuition, examination, and graduation.
- AED 75,113 per year (part-time, January 2026)
- AED 155,483 per year (full-time, September 2026)
- AED 77,742 per year (part-time, September 2026)
Paying Tuition Fees
Tuition fees can be paid in full or in three instalments per year of study.
