Introduction to the Cyber Security MSc Program

The University of Birmingham offers a Master of Science in Cyber Security, a program designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to tackle complex cyber challenges. Course Overview

The MSc Cyber Security program aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of cyber security principles and practices. Course Structure

The program consists of 180 credits, with students studying four 20-credit taught modules, working on a 60-credit project, and gaining 40 credits from optional modules. The core modules include:

Teaching Staff

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for the program, students must have a 2:1 Honours Degree in a relevant subject, such as Computer Science or a closely related discipline. International students must demonstrate a suitable level of English proficiency, usually through the form of an IELTS or equivalent qualification.

Fees and Scholarships

The tuition fee for the program is £12,150 for full-time students. The university offers various scholarships, including the Birmingham Masters Scholarship, which awards £3,000 to more than 300 students each year.
