Course Structure

Autumn Term
The Autumn term runs from September to December, lasting 11 weeks. Full-time students normally take three modules per term in the first two terms. There are two hours of seminar time per module per week, with an emphasis on guided independent learning. Students begin planning and submit a proposal for their dissertation during the first term.

Entry Requirements
To gain a place at Birmingham, applicants must meet the general entry requirements and those specific to the course. A 2:1 Honours Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject is required. International students must demonstrate a suitable level of English proficiency, usually through IELTS or equivalent qualifications.
English Language Requirements
For this course, IELTS 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in any band is required. Equivalent qualifications, such as TOEFL, Pearson Test of English, or Cambridge English, are also accepted.
Fees and Scholarships
