Entry Requirements
To secure a place at Birmingham, students must meet the general entry requirements as well as those specific to the course. The standard entry requirements include:
- A Level: AAA to include A-level Mathematics
- IB: 6,6,6 at Higher Level (including Mathematics) with 32 points overall

BTEC Requirements
- BTEC Extended Diploma: Considered for MEng programs providing there is sufficient Mathematics content
- BTEC Diploma: Considered in combination with A Level
- BTEC Subsidiary Diploma: Considered in combination with 2 A Levels
Fees and Scholarships
The University tuition fee covers the cost of tuition, examination, and graduation, and includes membership of the Guild of Students. For domestic (UK) students, the fee is £9,535 per year for 2026/27. The University offers various scholarships, grants, and bursaries to support students financially.
