Program Overview

The Practical Aspects of the Perio-Endo-Restorative Interface course offers hands-on training in evidence-based endodontic surgery, retreatment, and advanced restoration of root-filled teeth. The course also covers advanced restoration of root-filled teeth, including when to use posts or full-coverage restorations. Additionally, students will engage in clinical case discussions and begin developing a research proposal or clinical study related to the course content.

Learning Outcomes

  • Have knowledge of the use of the operating microscope for surgery and complex cases.

  • Unseen Case: 25%
  • Journal Presentation: 25%
  • Practical Details: Undertaken over 3 hours, including a reflection of the session.
  • Unseen Case Details: Undertaken over 15 minutes of exam with 15 minutes of preparation.
  • Journal Presentation Details: 15 minutes with 10 minutes of questions.
