Program Overview


Graduate Certificate in Project Management

The Graduate Certificate in Project Management (GradCertPM) is a flexible, fully online qualification that equips students with the knowledge and technical skills to work as project managers in a wide range of industries. This course is ideal for professionals in roles where project work is common, but who haven’t yet had the opportunity to gain formal training in this area.

  • Points and Duration: 60 points, 4 months (full-time) or 9-12 months (part-time)

Required Papers

  • PRMGT300 Business Operations in Project Management: This paper covers important concepts and issues related to the management of operations in the context of project management.
  • PRMGT301 Fundamentals of Project Management: This paper introduces fundamental project management theory and supports development of students’ skill-based project management competencies.
  • PRMGT302 Agile Project Management: This paper addresses advanced practical project management issues relating to systems, processes, and personnel.
  • PRMGT303 Applied Project Management: This is the capstone paper for the Graduate Certificate and Minor in Project Management, taking a case-based approach to apply learnings from other project management papers.

Entry Requirements

  • Domestic Students: To enrol in the GradCertPM, students need to have completed a bachelor's degree (or equivalent qualification) in any subject, with at least a B-minus grade average across the 300-level papers.
  • International Students: Similar requirements apply, with consideration for academic merit and relevant experience.
