Program Overview


Master of Management

The Master of Management (MMgmt) is a 12-month master's degree that offers a choice of five specialisations: Agribusiness, Business Analytics, Project Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain Management. This programme is ideal for recent university graduates with a degree in any field, or professionals and emerging leaders who want to expand their knowledge and skillset. No previous management experience is required.


Program Structure

The MMgmt includes a core of management papers to build a strong foundation for studies, followed by advanced expertise in a specialist subject. The programme consists of 180 points, completed over three trimesters, with part-time study also available for domestic students.

  • Agribusiness: Focuses on developing strong business and economic analysis skills, with a strong focus on changing global markets, innovative business models, and sustainable farming practices.
  • Business Analytics: Tailored for those looking to excel in data-driven decision-making, with a strong foundation in key areas like data visualisation, predictive analytics, and communicating data effectively to stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Equips students with practical skills and professional knowledge to lead projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Marketing: Blends management principles with cutting-edge, innovative marketing strategies, including the integration of artificial intelligence that is transforming the industry.
  • Supply Chain Management: Prepares students to lead in the fast-paced world of global logistics and supply chain management, with key topics including supply chain strategy, logistics management, procurement, and the use of technology to streamline operations.

Entry Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in any field, with at least a B-minus grade average across the 300-level papers.
  • Previous work experience or evidence of success in academic study, considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of Waikato Management School.
