Bachelor of Digital Design (Digital Media)

The Bachelor of Digital Design (Digital Media) is a specialist course that focuses on the essential practical knowledge needed to create complex interactive media. Course Description

The Bachelor of Digital Design (Digital Media) is a three-year full-time course that combines theoretical and practical knowledge to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of digital media. The course covers a range of topics, including interactive media, design and prototypes, professional practice, and digital production.

Course Structure

The course consists of 72 credit points, which are divided into:

Core Major in Professional and Digital Design

The Core Major in Professional and Digital Design provides students with a foundation in professional practice, design, and digital media. The major includes units such as:

Specialist Major in Digital Media

The Specialist Major in Digital Media provides students with advanced knowledge and skills in digital media. The major includes units such as:

  • 3D Media Art Production

Open Electives

Students can choose from a range of open electives to complement their studies. The open electives can be taken from any other TAFE QLD units or online units offered through UC BRUCE.

  • Systematically and critically analyse and evaluate digital and interactive media works and production processes

  • Create advanced digital media artefacts and systems that combine multiple media forms through the application of advanced technical skills and knowledge
  • Work effectively in production environments typical of those found in digital and interactive media workplaces
