The Bachelor's Program in Mathematics in Business and Economics at the University of Mannheim combines mathematical fundamentals and techniques with economic context, focusing on applied fields such as stochastics, optimization, and mathematical finance. Program Structure

In the first two years of study, students learn the fundamentals of mathematics, business administration, and economics. In the third year, students are free to pursue their personal interests.

Required Interests and Skills

Students of Mathematics in Business and Economics should have a particularly high interest in mathematical problems, be interested in questions of economics and business administration, and be prepared to learn subject material and do homework on their own.

Application and Selection

The selection process takes numerous criteria into account, including the grades achieved in German, Mathematics (double weighting), the best foreign language, and the best scientific subject, as well as relevant work experience and extracurricular activities.
