Program Description

The Bachelor's program in Teaching at Vocational Schools (Lehramt an berufsbildenden Schulen, B.Ed.) is designed for students who wish to pursue a career in teaching at vocational schools. The program is offered in German and is designed to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to teach at vocational schools.

Program Structure

The program consists of the following components:

  • Students can choose from a variety of teaching subjects, such as Alevitische Religion, Berufliche Informatik, Betriebswirtschaftslehre, Biologie, Chemie, Deutsch, Englisch, Evangelische Religion, Französisch, Geographie, Geschichte, Islamische Religion, Katholische Religion, Mathematik, Physik, Sozialwissenschaften, Spanisch, and Sport.
• Freier Studienanteil (Free Study Component)
  • This component allows students to choose from a variety of elective courses.
• Bachelorarbeit (Bachelor's Thesis)
  • Students are required to complete a Bachelor's thesis as part of the program.

Admission Criteria

The admission criteria for the program include:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• A minimum grade point average of 3.0
• Proof of language proficiency in German (DSH-2 or equivalent)

Tuition Fees

There are no tuition fees for the program, but students are required to pay a semester fee, which includes a contribution to the student union and a public transportation ticket.
