The PhD Course in Pedagogical, Educational and Instructional Sciences is a three-year program that offers a wide range of pedagogical scholarly researches, experimentations, and applied practices. The program is underpinned by a thematic area in Humanities and is conducted in both Italian and English.

The program focuses on educational processes, educational systems and teaching methodologies, and training models and practices. It requires knowledge of key theories and research issues to develop research projects, experimental designs, and inquiry methods.
Curriculum
The PhD course offers two curricula:
- Curriculum 1: "Pedagogical Sciences"
- Curriculum 2: "Research on Inclusion, Well-being and Sustainability in Education" (in English)
Curriculum Pedagogical Sciences
The curriculum has three training paths:
- PATH 1: PEDAGOGICAL AND EDUCATIONAL SCIENCES
- Research areas include educational and training processes, methods of construction of the pedagogical language, development of a "practical" pedagogy, and professional ethics.
- PATH 2: TEACHING AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES
- Research areas include teaching methodologies, educational processes, and communication technologies.
- PATH 3: EPISTEMOLOGY, EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH METHODOLOGY, AND EVALUATION
- Research fields concern epistemology and methodology of pedagogical research, methods of investigation, and analysis and design of research designs.
Curriculum Research on Inclusion, Well-being and Sustainability in Education
The main goal of this curriculum is to train high-level PhD students and future researchers in the field of Educational Sciences and Pedagogy. The program focuses on three main dimensions: Inclusion, Well-Being, and Sustainability.
Educational Offer
The PhD program is organized in classes, seminars, winter and summer schools, with the aim of offering a precise advanced and detailed picture of the state of national and international research in relation to the different domains and dimensions.
