Program Overview
Introduction to the TAL B2 Reading and Listening Course
The University's Language Center offers a semester-long course in English language preparation for the Test of Linguistic Ability (TAL) B2 Reading and Listening. This course is designed for students who need to achieve a B2 level in English as part of their degree requirements.
Course Description
The course focuses on improving reading and listening skills in English, with the goal of passing the TAL B2 exam. The course is taught in a blended format, with 50% of the classes held in person and 50% in self-access mode.
Target Audience
The course is primarily aimed at undergraduate students who are required to take the TAL B2 exam as part of their degree program. However, graduate students who need to improve their English language skills are also welcome to attend.
Linguistic Prerequisites
To participate in the course, students should have a minimum B1 level of English proficiency. Students can assess their language level by taking a demo test, which is considered passed with a score of 60% or higher.
Course Structure and Duration
The course consists of 30 academic hours, divided into 4 hours of weekly instruction over a period of 7-8 weeks. The course is free of charge, and students are expected to attend at least 80% of the classes to be eligible for a pre-exam session at the end of the course.
Course Schedule
The course will be held on Mondays and Tuesdays, with two hours of in-person instruction and two hours of self-access learning per week. The course will only be activated if a minimum of 15 students enroll.

Additional Resources
