Program Overview

The Corso di alta formazione “Fitoterapia clinica” (Course of Advanced Training in Clinical Phytotherapy) provides the necessary tools for rational and informed counseling and prescription of phytotherapeutic products.

Program Description

The course discusses the clinical use of medicinal plants, as reported in the EMA monographs, in various apparatus (respiratory, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal), in the central nervous system, and in general in all inflammatory-based pathologies, in an integrated manner with the related physio-pathological aspects.

Program Structure

The course includes lectures, exercises, and seminars for 7 Fridays (14:00-18:00) from January 23, 2026, to April 11, 2026. Asynchronous lessons will also be available. The course will be held remotely, with 70% of the activities in synchronous mode through the Zoom platform and 30% in asynchronous mode with video lessons uploaded to a reserved platform.

Target Audience and Career Opportunities

The course aims to train healthcare professionals to evaluate the quality of phytopreparations, their applicative properties, and correct use, also in relation to available EBM data, and to identify and report any adverse effects to the competent authorities.
