Program Overview


Master in Cardiologia Pediatrica e Cardiopatie Congenite

The Master in Cardiologia Pediatrica e Cardiopatie Congenite is designed to prepare graduates in medicine and surgery with advanced skills in the diagnosis and management of patients with congenital heart diseases and complex cardiac conditions. The program focuses on theoretical and practical knowledge to interpret congenital heart diseases and their hemodynamic consequences from fetal age to adulthood.


Program Description

The Master program aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of cardiopatia congenita, including morphological aspects, clinical diagnosis, and ecocardiografica diagnosis. The program also covers advanced ecocardiografia techniques, such as 3D and strain imaging, and the integration of information from advanced imaging techniques like CMR and CCT.


Target Audience

The Master program is designed for specialists in pediatrics, cardiology, gynecology, and obstetrics, radiology, and graduates in medicine and surgery.


Career Opportunities

The program provides students with the necessary skills to work in centers of III level (hub) or in centers where they can play the role of expert interlocutor in the specific subspecialty with the hub. Additionally, students can acquire skills to be inserted in an ambulatory setting where pediatric cardiac screening and congenital heart disease are performed.

    • Emodinamica pediatrica e delle cardiopatie congenite
    • Gestione clinica e management terapeutico delle cardiopatie congenite in età pediatrica
    • Cardiochirurgia delle cardiopatie congenite
    • Assistenza ventricolare e trapianto cardiaco nelle cardiopatie congenite
    • Nuove frontiere dell’emodinamica interventistica nelle cardiopatie strutturali
  • Pediatria:
    • Cardiologia fetale
    • Cardiopatia congenita in età pediatrica aspetti psicologici e supporto alla famiglia
    • Valutazione clinica del bambino con cardiopatia congenita
    • Valutazione neurologica del bambino con cardiopatia congenita
    • Quadri infettivi nel bambino con cardiopatia congenita
    • Aritmie pediatriche e nelle cardiopatie congenite

The admission requirements will be specified in the call for applications for the academic year 2025/2026.


Tuition Fees

The total tuition fee for the Master program is € 4,022.50, divided into two installments: € 2,522.50 (first installment) and € 1,500.00 (second installment).


Duration and Frequency

The Master program lasts for 10 months, with a frequency of three days per month. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to participate in a weekly lecture on congenital heart diseases and a multidisciplinary discussion on the main clinical cases of the week.


Final Project

The Master program concludes with the realization of a project work, which will be discussed in class and will result in a final judgment. To access the discussion of the project work, students must have attended at least 7 of the 10 weeks of frequency.


Open Badges

The Master program offers Open Badges, which are digital certificates of disciplinary knowledge, personal skills (soft skills), and technical skills acquired. Students can discover how to obtain and redeem these badges.
