The PRO-TUR - Progettare il turismo montano program is part of the Programma Orizzonte Montagna, supported by the Dipartimento per gli Affari Regionali e le Autonomie della Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri. This course aims to provide conceptual and operational tools for understanding territorial dynamics in mountain contexts, analyzing tourism demand and supply, and identifying strategies for sustainable tourism development.

Program Structure

• The course consists of:
  • An introductory day in presence (8 hours) at the UniPD headquarters in Spert, Alpago -BL.
  • Distance learning activities (16 hours).
  • A concluding day in presence (8 hours) at the UniPD headquarters in San Vito di Cadore - BL.
• The course proposes the acquisition of a methodology for studying and identifying the characteristics of tourism demand and supply, promotional messages, and destination strategies.

Target Audience and Career Opportunities

• The course is designed for public administration operators, category associations, and businesses and consultants in the tourism sector, particularly those working in mountain contexts or related fields like agriculture, culture, and craftsmanship.
• The course enables participants to acquire skills for operating in entities (public bodies, GAL) that deal with tourism planning, tourism companies, or connected businesses in the supply chain.
• The trained professional will be able to innovate products and processes, support the ideation of original projects for the enjoyment and enhancement of environmental and cultural resources, and favor aggregation processes in networks.

Program Details

Modules

• Modulo 1: Il turismo nei contesti montani - Inquadramento dei modelli di sviluppo del turismo, descrizione delle questioni generali che caratterizzano la montagna, analisi del sistema turistico e degli impatti.
• Modulo 2: Analisi del sistema turistico - Metodologia per l’analisi del turismo montano e per l’individuazione delle strategie. Lavoro su casi di destinazioni turistiche nella montagna bellunese.
• Modulo 3: Assessment delle strategie e delle azioni. Discussione dei casi di studio e seminari con attori locali.

Partners

The course will involve various stakeholders present in the mountain territory and active in the fields of training and tourism, including the Fondazione Giovanni Angelini di Belluno, a privileged partner of Orizzonte Montagna.

Final Exam

The final exam consists of the presentation and discussion of a case study chosen within the Belluno mountain area, prepared using the methodology of territorial context analysis and tourism project construction proposed during the course.

The micro-credential is the registration of learning outcomes obtained following a small volume of learning and evaluated based on transparent and clearly defined criteria.

FAQ

• The distance learning activities (16 hours in total) will take place predominantly in asynchronous mode, with some individual and group meetings to be agreed upon with the teacher for the revision of the assigned work.
• A study contribution is provided, equal to 20 quotas of €240 each, to cover the registration fee for the first 20 admitted students, financed by the Dipartimento per gli Affari regionali e le Autonomie della Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri.
