The LOGIFARM - Logistica farmaceutica program is a course of high-level training that aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to operate in the various phases of the pharmaceutical supply chain. The program is designed to ensure the maintenance of the safety and efficacy of pharmaceutical products.

Program Objectives
The program aims to provide students with the necessary competencies to occupy various positions of responsibility in the pharmaceutical supply chain, including:
- Management of materials
- Procurement
- Distribution
- Quality assurance
- Logistics management
Target Audience
The program is designed for individuals who possess a degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology, Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemical Sciences, Engineering, Economics and Business, Law, or Statistical Sciences. Individuals with a secondary school diploma and documented work experience in the field of logistics in the pharmaceutical sector may also be admitted.

Admission to the program is based on the evaluation of:
- Curriculum vitae et studiorum
- Letter of motivation
- Possible motivational interview
Program Structure
The program will take place from September to November 2024, with classes held on Fridays from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The program includes visits to significant logistic structures in the sector.

The program will cover the following topics:
- Medicines for human and veterinary use
- Biotechnological drugs
- Health products (supplements and devices)
- Material management
- Inventory planning and management
- Procurement of materials and services
- Relationship with suppliers and their evaluation
- Digital innovation in the healthcare supply chain
- Informatic applications for logistics and data integrity
- Warehouse management for pharmaceutical products
- Distribution and transportation of pharmaceutical products
- Parallel importation of pharmaceutical products
- Risk management and business continuity
- Statistical tools and data use
- Logistics for clinical trial products
- Traceability of pharmaceutical products
- Disposal of unsold products (returns, expired, damaged, recalled, suspended, etc.)
- Community pharmacy and hospital pharmacy
- Surveillance activity and distortive phenomena in the sector
Final Examination
The final examination will consist of a discussion of an in-depth thematic paper.
Attendance Requirements
Attendance is mandatory for at least 70% of the total teaching hours.

The program is directed by Prof. Nicola Realdon, with Prof. Dott. Roberto A. de Luca and Prof.ssa Adriana Chilin as co-directors.
