Master in Analgosedazione nel paziente pediatrico (ASEP)
The Master in Analgosedazione nel paziente pediatrico (ASEP) provides specific knowledge and skills to doctors, nurses, and psychologists for managing pain and anxiety during invasive procedures, ensuring safety and following their scope of practice, through pediatric procedural analgosedation.
Objective
The objective of the Master is to train professionals to manage the entire process, from informing and preparing the child/family to using non-pharmacological and pharmacological pain relief techniques and the recovery phase. Competencies are developed in the safe use of sedative and analgesic drugs during procedures in NORA, non-pharmacological techniques, and common procedures such as ecoguided venous access, sutures, and minor procedures.

Target Audience and Occupational Outcomes
The Master is designed for doctors, nurses, and psychologists who acquire competencies to evaluate and manage procedural pain in children during diagnostic-therapeutic procedures, applicable in a hospital setting, even outside the operating room. The training prepares students to use a communicative approach with children and families in a multicultural and highly stressful context, to set up therapeutic plans for analgosedation, and to apply the ecoguided technique in difficult venous accesses.

The final examination consists of the presentation and discussion of a final thesis.
