The MSc (Building) in the fields of Property Management or Property Development Planning Management is a 2-year program directed towards applicants with an honours degree in Real Estate, Property, Economics, Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Building Technology, Civil Engineering, and Planning.

The program aims to engage students in independent research and equip them with the knowledge to write concise reports of acceptable scientific quality in addition to knowledge in property development and management at a postgraduate level.

Entry Requirements
To be eligible for the program, applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
- BSc (Hon) (Property Studies) or BSc (Hons) (Building) or BSc (Hons) (Construction Management) with a minimum average score of 60%
- PGDIP in PDM or equivalent with an average score of 60%
- A BArch (Hons) or BSc (Hons) (Urban and Regional Planning), or MArch(Prof) or BSc (Hons) (Quantity Surveying), or 4-year BSc (Eng) in the branch of Civil Engineering with an average score of 60%
- A 4-year BSc(Hons) (Economics) or BCom(Hons) or BSc(Hons) (Finance) with an average score of 60%
- Differently qualified applicants with a Honours degree or equivalent degree at NQF level 8 will be shortlisted for an entrance test
- International students must submit a South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) evaluation certificate
University Application Process
Applications are handled centrally by the Student Enrolment Centre. Once the application is complete, it will be referred to the relevant School for assessment. Applicants can monitor the progress of their applications and upload supporting documents via the Self Service Portal.
