Gifted Certificate Coursework
The Gifted Certificate requires the following courses for a total of 12 credit hours.
- 12 hours of Professional Core courses
Professional Core Courses (12)
- EDSP 685 Characteristics of Gifted Students
- EDSP 689 Methods & Materials in Gifted Education
- EDSP 695 Differentiated Instruction for Atypical Gifted Learners
- EDSP 690 Curriculum Program Development & Prac. for Gifted Learners
- Note: These four courses can be added to an M.Ed. in Special Education.
Admission Requirements
Students applying to the Gifted Certificate must meet the following requirements.
- A completed bachelor's degree
- Hold a teacher certification
