Overview
The International Master of Education Program in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) is a two-year program offered by Chulas Faculty of Education. The program aims to produce graduates with knowledge and competence in TEFL curriculum development and instructional management.

Admission
The program offers two plans of study:
- Plan B (Coursework and Thesis): Students are required to take 36 credit hours of courses and produce a thesis.
- Plan C (Coursework and Master Project): Students are required to take 33 credit hours of courses and conduct a three-credit-hour, research-based master project.
Qualifications of Applicants
Plan B (Coursework and Thesis)
- Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), or Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts (B.A.) majoring in English
- GPA of no less than 2.75 or 1 year of teaching experience
- TOEFL score of at least 525 or 6 on the IELTS or 75 on the CU-TEP (or equivalent)
Plan C (Coursework and Master Project)
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) majoring in English or 2 years of teaching experiences in basic education or higher education instructions
- GPA of no less than 2.75 or have at least one year of teaching experience
- TOEFL score of at least 525 or 6 on the IELTS or 75 on the CU-TEP (or equivalent)
Application
The application is open two rounds in a year. The first-semester admission starts from around February to March. The second-semester admission is in September.
Academic Calendar Year
The program operates on a semester basis:
- First semester: August December
- Second semester: January May
