Program Overview
The After-Degree Program is for students who already hold a university degree. As a university graduate in any field of study you have developed critical thinking and analytical skills, additional education and career skills, and life experience, all of which makes you an excellent candidate for this program, and for a career in nursing.

The faculty is housed in the Edmonton Clinic Health Academy, a state-of-the-art health sciences teaching facility adjacent to the University of Alberta Hospital.

Program Requirements
Non-Direct Entry
This program does not allow admission directly from high school.
Requirements:
- A baccalaureate degree from a recognized academic institution.
- An Admission GPA (AGPA) of at least 3.0 or equivalent.
- Completion of the following prerequisite courses:
- English (3 units)
- Human Anatomy (3 units)
- Human Physiology (3 units)
- Medical Microbiology (3 units)
- Statistics (3 units)
- Effective Fall 2018 admission and onward, the following prerequisite courses require a minimum grade of C+ and must be taken within 5 years of BScN program start date:
- Human Anatomy (3 units)
- Human Physiology (3 units)
- Medical Microbiology (3 units)
- Submission of the Casper test is required to be evaluated for Admission to the program.
English Language Proficiency
The primary language of instruction in our classes, with the exception of those at the Faculté Saint-Jean, is English. For more information on the English Language Proficiency policy refer to the University of Alberta Calendar.

Tuition will be evaluated based on the specific courses you are registered in.
Scholarships and Financial Support
The Office of the Registrar administers over $52 million each year in scholarships, awards, and financial support for undergraduate students, as well as financial and loan advising. Additional scholarships are also available for specific faculties and programs.
