Production - Design Route
The Drama major, taken as part of a Bachelor of Arts degree, studies the way theatre creates cultural, social, and political meaning with the help of a faculty of experts who are professionals in their field. You will be exposed to every aspect of the theatrical process, including courses in acting, directing, and playwriting, while combining theory and practice through hands-on projects. Our superior classroom and theatre facilities support our dynamic learning environment. In Drama, you will be provided the opportunity to learn from local experts from the Edmonton theatre community and to participate in rewarding faculty research projects.

English Language Proficiency/Spoken English Requirement
Because the U of A wants you to succeed, our admissions policy ensures that all students, regardless of citizenship, have the language skills they need to understand, participate, and learn in our classes. The primary language of instruction in our classes, with the exception of those at the Faculté Saint-Jean, is English. Scholarships and Financial Support
The Office of the Registrar administers over $52 million each year in scholarships, awards, and financial support for undergraduate students, as well as financial and loan advising. Additional scholarships are also available for specific faculties and programs.
