Program Overview

Bachelor of Science with Honors in Planning

The Bachelor of Science with Honors in Planning is a degree program designed for students to receive in-depth training in a specific subject area, with a focus on scientific research. A research thesis project is embedded in each program, and students must maintain higher academic standards than those in a BSc Major degree.

Why Study this Program?

Planning is the study of land use, resources, facilities, and services, as well as the physical, economic, and social well-being of communities. Planners help decide what gets built and where, from roads and transit to parks and housing developments. The BSc program takes a scientific approach to planning, with a focus on elements such as environmental management and the use of geographic information sciences.
