Program Core Competencies

- Communication
- Students are required to attend Pediatric seminars and participate in Pediatric Research Day on an annual basis.
- Critical Reading/Thinking
- Students are required to take PAED 600 - Critical Discussions of Biomedical and Clinical Research.
- Background Knowledge
- Students are required to complete one 3-unit graduate course.

Thesis
- Registration in 900-level THES.
- Students are required to prepare and defend a thesis on a topic approved by their supervisor and supervisory committee.

The Department of Paediatrics does not offer teaching assistantships. Financial assistance in the form of graduate research fellowship from supervisor operating funds is normally available to students in good academic standing.
