Entry Requirements
As a minimum, applicants should hold or be predicted to achieve the following UK qualifications or their equivalent:
- A first-class or strong upper second-class undergraduate degree with honours in any subject relevant to the proposed research project However, entrance is very competitive and most successful applicants have a first-class degree or the equivalent.
Funding and Costs

Supervision
The allocation of graduate supervision for this course is the responsibility of the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology and it is not always possible to accommodate the preferences of incoming graduate students to work with a particular member of staff.
Assessment
There are two formal assessments that need to be passed before you are able to submit your DPhil Thesis.
- Transfer to DPhil status within four terms (about 15 months)
- Confirmation of DPhil status within three years
