About the Program
The PhD program in nutrition is an interdisciplinary program among the Colleges of Education and Human Ecology; Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences; and Medicine. This program combines coursework with experiential learning to prepare students for the interdisciplinary nature of modern nutrition science. It equips students to adapt to the constantly developing and changing methods in quantitative and qualitative research in the nutritional sciences and provides students with the oral and written communication skills required for the competitive job market.

Optional Practical Training (OPT)
International graduates of this major are eligible to apply for up to three years of work permission in the United States after graduation, as per the Department of Homeland Security.
