Business Master of Accounting
The Master of Accounting (MAcc) program at Fisher is designed to provide students with the tools and training necessary to succeed in the field of accounting. Today's accountant is expected to know more and do more than ever before, demonstrating critical and analytical thinking, teamwork, leadership, and effective communication.
Program Highlights
- The MAcc program can be completed in just nine months.
- Upon completion of the Fisher MAcc degree, students are eligible to sit for the CPA exam in Ohio.
- The program is STEM-designated, incorporating data and analytics innovation.
- The curriculum is flexible, with 78% of the degree consisting of electives tailored to individual interests.
- The program is open to non-accounting majors, with the option to enroll in Fisher's Pre-MAcc seminar for those who do not meet the prerequisite courses.
- No work experience is required for admission.
- The program is routinely ranked in the top 10 nationally by the Public Accounting Report (large universities category).
- Students have access to a Fisher career consultant to help them reach their goals.
- A BSBA-MAcc Combined Degree program is available, allowing eligible Fisher/Ohio State accounting majors to complete the MAcc degree in their senior year.
Optional Practical Training (OPT)
International graduates of the MAcc program are eligible to apply for up to three years of work permission in the United States after graduation, as per the Department of Homeland Security.
Licensure and Certification
Ohio State academic programs are designed to prepare students to sit for applicable licensure or certification in Ohio.
