About the Program
The Geodetic Science Doctor of Philosophy program offers three pre-approved MS tracks:
- Geodesy
- Mapping and geographical information science
- Geodesy and geodynamics A student with the proper background typically needs three years beyond the MS in Geodetic Science to complete the PhD requirements. Students wishing direct entry into the PhD program with an equivalent MS from another program may need to take some MS-level geodetic science courses in order to fulfill prerequisites for the PhD courses.
Optional Practical Training (OPT)
International graduates of this major are eligible to apply for up to three years of work permission in the United States after graduation.
