Business Information Systems Major
The Business Information Systems (BIS) major is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the field of business information systems.
Description
The BIS major focuses on the application of information technology to support business strategies, operations, and projects. Students will develop the abilities to partner with, or contribute to, IT-enabled business strategy, operations, and projects in a variety of ways.
Requirements
To complete the BIS major, students must:
- Earn a minimum of 120 Academic Credits
- Complete 15 Academic Credits in BIS
- Fulfill all Arts and Sciences Foundation Requirements and BSBA Core Curriculum Requirements
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.25 (C+) in all courses applied toward a BIS major
- Earn a C- or better in each course applied toward a BIS major
