Program Overview

The UEESS00133 Skill Set provides the skills and knowledge required to safely disconnect and reconnect low voltage (LV) fixed wired electrical equipment. This skill set is for persons wishing to disconnect and reconnect low voltage (LV) fixed wired electrical equipment, which is incidental or a primary and regular function of work related to a principle work function.


Program Structure

The program includes two units:


  • UEECD0007: Apply work health and safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace
  • UEERL0004: Disconnect - reconnect electrical equipment connected to low voltage (LV) installation wiring

The duration of delivery is 48 hours.


Availability

The program is available on-campus in Gladstone, with the next intake in February 2026.


Requirements

To meet the requirements for a restricted electrical work license, students must provide an Electrical Safety Office (ESO) letter displaying approval to undertake the units UEECD0007 and UEERL0004. If a student has previously completed one of these units, a copy of a transcript displaying the completed unit is required.


Fees

The indicative fund source for this skill set is "Fee for Service" only, with a per student cost of $1206.00. Course fees are reviewed annually, and Queensland Government funding programs are subject to change.


Career Opportunities

This skill set provides the skills and knowledge required to apply troubleshooting to existing digital control systems to control faults or enhance performance. It provides participants with the ability to identify, analyse, and respond to a range of unexpected situations in Industry 4.0 environments.


Admission Criteria

To be eligible to apply, students must meet the course requirements, including providing documentation to support their eligibility for subsidy. The application process involves checking course requirements, getting a Unique Student Identifier, preparing eligibility documentation, submitting an application, and completing bksb testing.


Recognition of Prior Learning

Students may be eligible to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) if they meet the required criteria.
