Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
The Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is an initial teacher education course that will prepare students to demonstrate the requirements to work as a teacher with children of preschool age or under in centre-based services.
Overview
This course equips students with the skills and knowledge needed to foster childrens learning from birth to five years old. Students will dive deep into key theories, practices, and principles that form the foundation of this impactful profession. The course includes 60 days of hands-on, professional experience in early childhood education settings.
Career Opportunities
The Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is an initial postgraduate pre-service teacher education course for those who aim to pursue a career as an early childhood teacher. Graduates are qualified to teach in birth to prior to school contexts. This course does not enable graduates to teach in the compulsory years of schooling in Australia.

Fees & Scholarships
The indicative first-year fee for 2025 is A$30,000. International students may be eligible for merit scholarships, which provide course fee reductions ranging from 15% to 25%.
