Program Overview


Social Impact Certificate

The Social Impact Certificate program is designed for students who have a passion for helping others and making a difference. This program focuses on internship, professional development, cross-sector and interdisciplinary analysis through challenge-based learning, and real-world problem solving.


Program Details

  • The 13-credit certificate program is required for students in the NextGen Service Corps, but is open to all undergraduate students as space permits.
  • Students will take the following courses:
    • American Government and Politics
    • Technical Writing and Communication
    • Social Impact Portfolio
    • Social Impact Capstone OR Applied Policy Analysis
  • A 3-credit internship is also required, which can be completed in the student's primary major or in an alternate department.
