Earth and Environmental Science Program

The MS in Earth and Environmental Science is a STEM designated degree that provides advanced knowledge and research skills to investigate Earths systems and solve complex environmental challenges. The program combines classroom instruction with field-based research, covering topics such as environmental geoscience, hydrology, geochemistry, sedimentology, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

Program Format and College

The program is offered in-person and is part of the College of Science and Mathematics, under the area of study of Health, Medicine and the Sciences.

Admission Requirements

• Equivalent of a U.S. bachelors degree.
• Applicants with non-U.S. degrees must review U.S. degree equivalency information.

Application Checklist

• Application Deadline: Rolling admission.
• Online Application: Submission of application and $60 non-refundable fee (or waiver if applicable).
• Transcript: One from each college attended.
• Essays/Personal Statement: An integrated essay responding to questions about goals for graduate study and future career, academic background and professional experiences, and any further information for candidacy assessment.
• Letters of Recommendation: Two.
