Film and Television Program
The Film and Television program at Montclair State University prepares students to create bold, original content for today's multi-platform world. From screenwriting and storyboarding to live-action shooting, digital editing, and streaming, students learn the full production process from concept to screen.
Program Description
Students take courses in writing, directing, sound design, and audio production while exploring how to create compelling content for film, television, and digital devices. Whether producing newscasts, commercials, dramatic series, or live webcasts, students develop the creative and technical skills needed to bring their vision to life.
Program Format and College
The program is offered in-person and is part of the College of Communication and Media, under the Area of Study: Arts, Culture and Design.
Cost Information

Program Highlights
The program offers real-world opportunities, including internships at major studios and networks, and work on student productions aired on cable and streaming through Hawk+ the first student-run streaming network on a college campus in the country.
