Admission Requirements

• Equivalent of a U.S. bachelors degree.
• Applicants with non-U.S. degrees must review U.S. degree equivalency information.
• Students seeking an F1/J1 visa are not eligible for this certificate program unless they are currently pursuing a masters degree at Montclair State University and can simultaneously pursue both programs while maintaining their student visa requirements.

1. Online Application: Submit application and $60 non-refundable fee (or waiver if applicable).
2. Transcript: One from each college attended.
3. Essays/Personal Statement: Answering prompts, including: - What are your goals for graduate study and your future career? - In what ways do your academic background and professional experiences provide evidence of your potential for success in the program and your eventual career? - Is there any further information we should consider in assessing your candidacy?
4. Resume: Required.

Application Deadline

Rolling Admission. Completed applications should expect to receive an admission decision within 14 business days. Note that the current semester is the priority, and if you applied 6 months or 1 year in advance, it can take up to 30 days or longer to receive a decision. The starting semester varies: Summer (first half), Fall (second half).
