The Civil Engineering Graduate Certificate program is designed for individuals interested in taking graduate-level courses without pursuing a full master's degree. Admission requirements for the Graduate Certificate in Civil Engineering are the same as those for the Master of Civil Engineering.

Applicants interested in the Graduate Certificate program must meet the same admission requirements as those applying for the Master of Civil Engineering.
Program Requirements
To complete the Graduate Certificate in Civil Engineering, students must finish five courses within a five-year period. Each student will work with the program chair to design a tailored program that meets their individual goals. Focus areas are not available for certificate students. Course selections outside of the Civil Engineering program requirements list are subject to advisor approval.

Notes
Once matriculated, if a student decides to pursue the full master's degree, all successfully completed courses will apply towards that degree, provided the courses meet the master's program requirements and the remaining courses are completed within a five-year time limit.
