MBA/MS in Biotechnology Dual Degree Program

The MBA/MS in Biotechnology program is a dual degree offering that combines the fundamentals of business and biotechnology. This program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of both fields, covering topics such as accounting, finance, regulatory and legal matters, biochemistry, biostatistics, and bioinformatics.

The program requires 76 total credits, with 36 credits for the MBA and 40 credits in Biotechnology.

MBA Curriculum

The MBA curriculum includes 22 credits of Business Foundations and 14 credits of MBA Electives. To reach the 54 credits required for an MBA degree, the Carey Business School will accept 18 credits from the MS Biotechnology curriculum to count toward MBA electives. Electives may be used to earn one Specialization, but earning a Specialization is not required to fulfill program requirements. Students may take any combination of elective courses that meet the credit requirement, whether they combine toward a Specialization or not.
