The Paediatric Eye Care module is a standalone course designed for eye care professionals seeking to enhance their expertise in paediatric optometry. Entry Requirements

• Applicants must be clinicians in the field of optometry who regularly see child patients. UK GOC-registered optometrists can refer to the Professional Certificate in Paediatric Eye Care for more information.

Tuition Fees

• For UK students, the tuition fee for the 2024/25 academic year is ｣1,300.
• Note: Tuition fees are reviewed annually and may increase in subsequent years in line with inflation.

Delivery and Assessment

Method of Delivery

• The course is delivered via distance learning, with access to learning materials through the virtual learning environment, Blackboard.
• Compulsory on-campus practical days are scheduled.

Assessment

• The assessment consists of two components:
  • Portfolio of case reports (80%): Four case reports demonstrating clinical skills and knowledge in pediatric optometry, or a 3,000-word evidence-based essay on a chosen topic.
  • Multiple choice questions (20%): Tests linked to lecture content.
